So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
CARDI B – “ENOUGH (MIAMI)”
In addition to appearing alongside SZA on the new Flo Milli album that’s out today, Cardi B has dropped her own new single. It’s Cardi in classic no-frills rap mode.

CROSSED – “NOSTALGIA”
Crossed will release the Nostalgia EP on April 27 via Zegema Beach Records, and the title track is noisy, heavy, and not easy to pin down.

HIPPIE TRIM – “FALLING DOWN”
Germany’s Hippie Trim will release their new EP Morbid Obit on May 31 via Supervillain. It features recent single “Agent Mayhem,” as well as the just-released “Falling Down,” which is another great grunge/post-hardcore hybrid.

NIGHT VERSES – “SLOW DOSE” (ft. ANTHONY GREEN)
Progressive/post-rock band Verses released their new album Every Sound Has a Color in the Valley of Night today, and it features collaborations with Anthony Green, Author & Punisher, Tool’s Justin Chancellor, Incubus’ Brandon Boyd. If you like Anthony Green at his trippiest and most ethereal, don’t miss this one.

BEN RECTOR & HAILEY WHITTERS – “COLOR UP MY WORLD”
Ben Rector and Hailey Whitters team up for a rollicking country duet.

NIA ARCHIVES – “UNFINISHED BUSINESS”
Nia Archives’ debut full-length album, Silence Is Loud, is out next month, and the latest single is the skitering, propulsive “Unfinished Business.”

HALF PAST TWO – “TALK IS KILLING ME”
Half Past Two have shared the title track of their upcoming Bad Time Records debut, and it’s a catchy, mid-tempo dose of ska-pop-punk.

STARS HOLLOW – “SICKENING”
Des Moines emo band get a little heavier and harsher on the latest taste of their upcoming In The Flower Bed EP.

MY DYING BRIDE – “THE 2ND OF THREE BELLS”
Gothic metal/death-doom vets My Dying Bride have shared the latest taste of A Mortal Binding.

BOOTSY COLLINS – “THE INFLUENCERS” (ft. WIZ KHALIFA, SNOOP DOOG, DAVE STEWART & MORE)
Parliament-Funkadelic legend Bootsy Collins teams up with Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, The Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart, and others for this P-Funk/G-Funk crossover episode.

RUFUS WAINWRIGHT – “PERFECT DAY” (LOU REED COVER)
One of Lou Reed’s most famous songs, “Perfect Day” gets an understated rendition from Rufus Wainwright. This is from the upcoming The Power of the Heart: A Tribute to Lou Reed.

SPARKLE DIVISION – JUPITER LOUNGE EP
Sparkle Division, the trio of William Basinski, Preston Wendel, and Gary Thomas Wright, are back with this EP they call a “comedown companion” to last year’s FOXY album.

BRIAN ENO – “ALL I REMEMBER”
This new Brian Eno vocal track plays over the closing credits of the new Eno documentary.

COLD CAVE – “SHE REIGNS DOWN”
Right from the electro handclap intro, “She Reigns Down” is an immediate banger.

BRENNAN WEDL – “FAKE COWBOY”
Nashville-based singer-songwritter Brennan Wedl’s latest single for Kill Rock Stars is “Fake Cowboy,” which you can read more about here.

It’s the title track to Willie Nelson’s 75th studio album.

GLEN CAMPBELL & HOPE SANDOVAL – “THE LONG WALK HOME”
The latest single from Glen Campbell Duets: Ghost on the Canvas Sessions is a version of “The Long Walk Home” featuring Mazzy Star’s Hope Sandoval, and you can read more about it here.

PENNY ARCADE (EX VERONICA FALLS / ULTIMATE PAINTING) – “DON’T CRY NO TEARS”
James Hoare of Veronica Falls, Ultimate Painting and The Proper Ornaments has a new solo project called Penny Arcade and is gearing up to release his debut album. It’s titled Backwater Collage and will be out May 3 via Tapete, and is his first new music in four years.
